Front row home on the Clarence River
Geoff and Regina came to us with 2 of the classic problems, views at the same orientation as problematic sun angles, and at the same time, the views were at the rear of a narrow property. This means the design has to solve the problem of getting any visitor from the front of the home to the back where the living areas are in way which will impress the guests.
This problem was turned into a stunning feature of the home. A beautiful wide and cranked timber staircase within the double height entry lobby creates real drama as it winds up to the Living area opening out onto the glorious river views…. the Wow factor is complete.
The early morning heat loads have been dramatically reduced with the use of the right performance glass for this orientation and making sure the rear verandah would keep the sun off the glass at the crucial times
